Shri Bhalchandra Dattatraya Limaye, lovingly known as Sadguru Anna and also revered as Paramahansa Shri Chaitanyaswaroop, had a deep inclination towards spirituality since childhood.
While searching for a Sadguru, he met Parampujya Shri Raosaheb Sahastrabuddhe in the year 1953.
Once, Anna’s Guru asked him, “Do you want to go to England?”
Anna replied, “Yes, I want to go!”
Sadguru Raosaheb then said, “England means our Konkan! Go to Konkan and make Konkan like England.”
Following his Guru’s words, Anna selected Dombivli as his place of work and while managing worldly responsibilities, continuously remembered Sadguru and worshipped Shri Swami Samarth Maharaj, thereby spreading Guru Vaibhav.
His wife, Mrs. Sushma Limaye, gave him complete support in both worldly and spiritual life. She herself was Anna’s devoted disciple.
Anna’s Guru tradition was extremely glorious. Anna’s Guru was Shri Raosaheb Sahastrabuddhe, whose Guru was Shri Beedkar Maharaj, and Beedkar Maharaj’s Guru was Shri Swami Samarth Maharaj.
Initially, Raosaheb gave Anna the Guru Mantra. Later, Shri Swami Samarth Maharaj blessed that mantra with divine spiritual power, making it even more radiant.
Anna strictly followed his Guru’s instructions and spiritually guided society in Dombivli and many other places.
The only mission of this divine couple throughout day and night was to guide devotees and needy people towards the path of eternal happiness and spiritual upliftment.
With the intention that this Guru Vaibhav should remain eternal and benefit everyone, Anna and Aai decided to build a Math (temple) of Shri Swami Samarth Maharaj.
Shri Swami Samarth Maharaj appeared in a dream and personally guided them regarding the structure and design of the Math.
Accordingly, on 3rd December 1998, the inauguration ceremony and Kalash Poojan of the Math were beautifully performed.
Later, on 11th December 2019, Anna’s 71st birthday celebration was grandly organized in the Math in the presence of many devotees.
On that occasion, Guruvarya Pujya Nana Paranjape, who had presented the original Paduka to Anna, honored him with a special felicitation.
Anna’s Gauravgrantha (book of honor), “Chaitanyacha Nathpanthi”, was also released by Pujya Nana Paranjape.
The autobiography “My Identity”, written by Anna’s disciple Mrs. Aai, also known as Shri Lakshmi Swarup, under Anna’s guidance, was released by Dr. Arunatai Dhere.
This grand and divine ceremony took place on the same day.
During the occasion, Mrs. Aai and Anna openly expressed that, “The dream of building the Math has finally come true.”
Through this sacred work, they created a permanent place of worship and spiritual guidance for devotees.
