Before moving forward, let’s pay respect and express our gratitude towards our beloved Guru Chaitanyaswaroop Shree Bhalchandra D. Limaye also known as Anna and Laxmiswaroop Sushama B. limaye, also known as Aai. Both of them are the founders of below three well established social and religious organizations.
- Shree Swami Samarth Seva Mandal
- Shree Govindanand Shreeram Mandir
- Nandakishor Sanskar Kendra
They have also been the foundational stones and pillars of Shree Swami Samarth Dharmik Granthalaya (Library) and the proposed project named as Vishwanath Memorial Children Hospital and research Centre..
In 1974, Shree Swami Samatha’s Paduka (Originally Worn by himself) gracefully arrived at Tirtharoop Anna’s house at Ganeshkrupa. Since then his house became a “Math”, a place of reverence for thousands of devotees. Soon after padukas arrival, Ganesh Krupa was blessed to receive a graceful gift from a well-known painter Mr. Raghuveer Mulgaonkar. The gift was nothing but a huge painting of Shree Swami Samarth.
To gain trust of people in society it was decided to form a charitable trust. Hence “Shree Swami Samarth Seva Mandal” was established on 12th June 1984
Every thursday, it used to get very crowded at Titharoop Anna’s house as devotees used to gather for Aarti (Series of prayers). As there was not enough space to accommodate those many devotees, it was decided to make an arrangement to perform Aarti and conduct meetings at Shree Govindanand Shree Ram mandir near Dombivli station. Sadguru Anna and Tirthroop Aai set an example by displaying excellent administration and discipline. Later at Shree Govindanand Shree Ram mandir legally became to be operated and managed by “ Shree Swami Samarth Seva mandal”.
In 1988 Shree Swami Samarth Dharmik Granthalaya was established to make people aware about the importance of reading. This library is well equipped and stocked with several books. Tirthroop Anna didn’t want to limit his work only for religious purpose. He was also thinking about teaching good values to the blooming generation of children. For that purpose, in 1993 Nandakishore Sanskar Kendra was established
During this time, efforts were being made for the permanent “Mathvastu” for Shri Swami Samarth. In 1996 groundbreaking ceremony was performed at Nandivali after the plot for Mathvastu was finalized
On December 3rd 1998, Kalaspoojan ritual was performed along with Mathvastu’s inauguration ceremony. This iconic Mathvastu (Temple) is a prominent religious landmark in Dombivli. After possession of Shree Govindanand Shreeram Mandir, it was crucial to have a structured plan in place to successfully run the operations of the Mandir.
In 2015, Shree Swami Samarth Seva Mandal started renovating Shree Govindanand Shreeram Mandir. Soon all legal requirements were fulfilled and on 26th December 2015 groundbreaking ceremony was performed. From March 15 to 17th 2019, “Prana Pratishtha” rituals were performed on all Murti’s of Deities. In this ceremony, Hymns and Mantra’s were recited to invite the deity to be resident guest. Soon after this, on April 19th 2019, Kalaspoojan and inauguration ceremonies were performed.
Along with this, Tirthroop Anna and Aai have another dream and its nothing but “Vishwanath Memorial Childrens Hospital” the vision of this children hospital is to offer inexpensive medical treatment to all children. The hospital project is in progress and on the right track
